Wow! The SideKar Plus is sold out! But don't worry...
The SideKar Plus is undergoing some changes is now evolving into the "SideKar Extreme". Prototypes have been made, tested, and we're now going into production.
Update: We're VERY close to having this in production. The custom electronics have been manufactured and tested. The custom cases are being manufactured at this time and should be ready soon.
What's different? The SideKar Extreme will have the functionality of the SideKar Plus, And...
- it will sport an internal WinKeyer, which will allow you to send CW and CW messages to just about any rig using a keyboard or a paddle.
- In addition to the interface to the Elecraft KX and K line, it will have an interface to the Yaesu family of portable rigs (FT-818, -817, -857, -897) for logging and rig control from the keyboard. The new SideKar Extreme is a replacement for our Key Log Go product, which has been sold out.
- An interface to the QRP Labs QCX rigs is planned. Free software updates will be available when ready.
- logging can be done with any rig.
- interface to a PC or a Mac will be done with a common micro USB cable.
The introductory price will be the same as the SideKar Plus prices. $279 for the SideKar Extreme alone, and $309 for a SideKar Extreme package (includes a wireless keyboard and power splitter cable).
