  • ​SolMate is a small, lightweight Solar Charge Controller for for a variety of battery types:
    • ​14 volt  4 cell LiFePo Batteries with built-in Battery Management Systems (like Bioenno Power)
    • 11.1 volt 3 cell Li-ion Batteries with built-in Battery Management Systems (like the Elecraft KX2)
    • 12 volt Gel Cell Batteries
  • Solar panel input (10 to 22 volt range)  
  • It uses Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)  for maximum efficiency​
  • SolMate has Input Over voltage and Thermal protection
  • LCD Display shows:
    • Battery Type
    • Batterty Voltage
    • Solar Panel Input Voltage
    • Output current
    • Cumulative Amp-Hours generated
    • Output power in watts
    • Peak Power output in watts
    • PC Board temperature

Note: SolMate is not compatible with batteries that need a balanced charger, like many LiPo batteries from Hobby stores.  The batteries connected to SolMate need to have a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that manages the individual cell charging and provides protection. One way to tell is that if the battery has a separate, multi-conductor connector for charging, it is not compatible.
